Each team member must know typical CrossFit movements.

In addition, at least one of the three team members must be able to perform a handstand push up and chest to bar.

The team’s estimated skill level is requested upon registration. Learn more here.

ADAPTIVE DIVISION

IN COLLABORATION WITH  ADAPTIVE TRAINING FINLAND

who can participate?

The Adaptive division considers diverse abilities, providing an inclusive competition environment.

Teams in the Adaptive division may include athletes from different classifications (e.g., seated, neuro, and upper). Ideally, all team members should be adaptive athletes. We strive to find teams for everyone interested – if you need teammates, reach out to ATF on Instagram or via email!

CLASSIFICATION

Athletes are not required to have an official CrossFit Inc. classification; however, we use CrossFit’s classifications for movement adaptations, so each team member’s classification will be requested at registration (a self-assessment is sufficient).

We rely on CrossFit classifications for programming, as this is a CrossFit-licensed competition. You can find descriptions of each classification here: https://wheelwod.com/competition-classifications/

HOW TO REGISTER?

Registration will take place in Competition Corner.

Registration opens on the 26th of November, 2024.

REGISTRATION

The team captain is registers the team for the competition. The captain must have a profile on Competition Corner—please create this well in advance of registration.

When registering, you’ll need to provide the team name and the names and email addresses of all team members. In addition, we will ask for your team’s estimated skill level based on the classification below, to help us place teams in similar-level heats on competition day.

1. Beginner: Team members are proficient in typical CrossFit movements and can perform them each for at least one repetition. In guided classes, most of the workouts need to be scaled down.

2. Intermediate: Team members are proficient in typical CrossFit movements but occasionally scale down workouts in guided classes.

3. RX: Team members are proficient in typical CrossFit movements and can complete most workouts in guided classes without scaling.

If your team includes athletes of varying skill levels, choose the level that matches the skill level of athletes you want to compete alongside.

The team entry fee is €267 + platform fee.

Please note that registration is binding, and the fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. Participants are not insured by the organizer.

You can alter team members on Competition Corner until January 25, 2025. However, you cannot change the team captain by yourself. If a captain change is needed, please contact us at info@turkutuomiopaiva.com.

ADAPTIVE

If you have specific requests for movement adaptations beyond standard modifications for your classification, please note them upon registration. For example, if you know you need a box on stage to assist with squats or weightlifting.

An assistant or interpreter is permitted on stage for athletes in the vision, seated, intellectual, and neuro major categories. Deaf athletes may also bring an interpreter. Entry for assistants and interpreters is included in the competitor ticket.

Athletes are required to bring their own specialized equipment if needed, such as LapMats, Multi Ropes, Monoropes, and grip gloves. Homemade equipment is also acceptable.
